London Auto Parts is commited to operating a modern professional facility to help minimise the environmental impact of the two million cars that reach the end of the lifes each year in the UK.

As part of this commitment London Auto Parts have invested heavily in upto date facilities and has qualified for status as an Authorised Treatment Facility by the Department of the Enviroment.

These facilities include depollution areas, fluid storage and containment systems, purpose built work safe work areas and modern equipment including work wear and safety apparatus.

Disposed of wrongly just 1 litre of waste oil is sufficient to contaminate one million litres of water.
It is estimated that up to 50% of the 20,000 tonnes of oil removed from vehicles by motorists is handled improperly.

Vehicles and the Enviroment

There are around 13.5 Million vehicles in the UK
Around 2 million new cars are registered every year, around the same number reach the end of their life.
This equates to around 2 million tonnes of material to be disposed of or recycled annually.
Approx 80%of this is recycled (mainly metal) - in turn equating to 1.6 million tonnes
